These classes have been specifically designed to inculcate in your children a love for all things cultural and artistic. The classes are a combination of popular culture and high culture. Each class will focus on a different aspect of Art and Culture. The day we dwell into the mystical world of theatre, all the children will come together and write a play, which I will help them enact.

We will work together to understand poetry better and even learn to write a few lines. Another significant aspect of the class is to understand and appreciate the importance of Art. Scratch SuperCoders Bootcamp for kids aged 7 – 10 years, Nariman Point, Jan 30-31 and Feb 6-7

The purpose of the bootcamp is to encourage computational thinking among children using a programming language called Scratch. Scratch is designed especially to encourage logical thinking and reasoning among children, and has been created by the MIT Media Lab. See more at scratch.mit.edu.

Scratch is a programming language to create interactive stories, games, and animations. Designing and programming Scratch projects helps children learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.

HOW SCRATCH WORKS

Scratch programs are built by snapping together graphical blocks, each representing a programming event or command. By connecting the blocks together like a jigsaw puzzle, children can create programs to make characters move, jump, dance, and sing. Scratch has been developed especially for children by the MIT Media Lab.

TRY SCRATCH AT THE BOOTCAMP!

The Scratch bootcamp is a great way to try Scratch and see if you like it, all in a single weekend. The bootcamp runs on Friday evening and Saturday morning (2 hours each) and teaches children the basics of programming Scratch through two starter projects.
